Cookie Policy
1. Purpose of this Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Actera uses cookies and similar technologies on its public website. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.
This Policy describes the Site’s current configuration and may be updated as the Site, hosting arrangements or features change. We will update the date above when we make changes. If we introduce a technology that requires consent, we will provide an appropriate choice before using it, as required by law.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files placed on a browser or device. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels, tags, scripts and other mechanisms that store information on, or access information from, a device.
These technologies can be used to deliver website functions, remember choices, protect forms, measure performance, understand use or support advertising. Whether consent is required depends on the purpose and applicable law, not simply the name of the technology.
3. Actera’s current use
The Site is hosted using Framer. Actera may use strictly necessary technologies required to deliver pages, maintain security, route network traffic, protect forms and preserve a choice you make.
As at the date above, Actera does not intentionally deploy advertising cookies, cross-site profiling technologies or non-essential behavioural analytics cookies on the Site. Hosting and infrastructure providers may still receive ordinary technical request information, such as IP address, browser information and timestamps, in order to provide and secure the Site. That server-side processing is described in the Privacy Policy and does not necessarily involve placing a cookie on your device.
4. Categories of technology
Category | What it does | Current position | Consent |
|---|---|---|---|
Strictly necessary | Delivers pages, supports security, submits requested forms, balances traffic or remembers privacy choices | May be used where required for the Site to function | Not requested where an applicable legal exemption applies |
Analytics and performance | Measures visits, navigation, errors and performance so the Site can be improved | No non-essential behavioural analytics intentionally deployed at the date above | Will be requested before use where required; limited aggregate measurement may be used without consent only where a valid legal exemption applies |
Functional | Remembers optional settings or enables enhanced third-party features | Not intentionally deployed at the date above | Will be requested before use where required |
Advertising or profiling | Builds profiles, targets advertising or tracks activity across services | Not used at the date above | Would require an appropriate consent mechanism before use |
The precise technologies used can change when the Site is updated. Where a cookie-preference interface is displayed, it will provide the most current information about non-essential technologies, their providers, purposes and durations.
5. Third-party content
If Actera later embeds third-party media, scheduling tools, videos or other interactive content, those services may seek to store or access information on your device. Where required, the content or technology will remain disabled until you make a choice. Third-party providers may also process data under their own privacy terms.
6. Managing your choices
Where the Site offers cookie controls, you can use them to accept, reject or change your selection for non-essential technologies. Rejecting non-essential technologies should not prevent access to the main Site.
You can also manage or delete cookies and site data through your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary technologies may prevent forms, preferences or other essential functions from working correctly. Browser “do not track” signals are not applied consistently across the industry; Actera will respond to legally recognised browser-based preference signals where required.
7. How long technologies remain
Session technologies expire when you close your browser. Persistent technologies remain for a defined period or until deleted. Actera will keep any technology in place only for as long as reasonably necessary for its stated purpose and will disclose specific durations in the relevant preference interface if non-essential technologies are introduced.
8. Changes to this Policy
Actera may update this Cookie Policy at any time to reflect changes to the Site, technology, service providers or law. The version posted on the Site is the current version. Where a change requires a new consent choice, we will request it before using the relevant technology.
9. Contact
Questions about cookies or similar technologies may be submitted through the contact or request-access form on the Site. Please mark the message “Cookies”.
